The Kalachakra Mandala Thangka introduces three cycles – External, Internal and Alternative. External and internal cycles deal with time as we usually know it, while alternate cycles are strategies for liberation from these two cycles. It is one of the many Tantric teachings and mystical rituals in Tibetan Buddhism.
In Sanskrit, the word ‘Kala’ means Time and ‘chakra’ means Cycle. Hence, the word Kalachakra means Cycle of Time or Wheel of Time.
This tradition has its origins in Nepal, but its most prominent history and influence have been in the monasteries of Tibet. It is a type of non-dualism which means the teaching of emptiness. It is believed that the Kalachakra was taught by the Lord Buddha himself.

How do we Pack the Thangka?
We wrap the Thangka in handmade Nepali Lokta paper for protection of painting and later packed inside the non-bendable PVC pipe for shipping.
We also offer Silk Brocade framing for above Thangka. For that, you need to request us and paid separately.
