This 10.5 inches Antique Shakyamuni Buddha Statue is handmade in Nepal. Shakyamuni Buddha Statue is placed in Dhyana Asana or Meditative Pose, also known as Padmasana. In this posture, the legs are crossed, closely tied, with the soles of both legs visible. Lord Buddha wears a detailed sculpted monastic robe incised with floral motifs. It sits on a single lotus base, also known as Padmasana. His left hand is a touching gesture in the earth or Bhumisparsha mudra, while his right-hand holds a medicine bowl.
Shakyamuni Buddha was born in Kapilavastu in Nepal some 2600 Years ago and has performed many Buddha activities for 45 years in this sub-continent for the benefit of all sentient beings. And this statue from his birthplace makes this statue a unique one.
