This Future Buddha Maitreya Thangka features the most loving and kindness deity of Buddhism – Maitreya. He is also considered as the Future Buddha.
According to prophecy, Maitreya is Shakyamuni’s designated successor but he will only appear in the universe after the teachings of Shakyamuni have finally faded away. Maitreya now lives in Tuita Heaven, the same location where Gautama Buddha lived before he came to this world, as Bodhisattva.
In this Thangka, He holds the stems of two blossoming Utpala (blue lotus) flowers. Maitreya is decorated with a variety of jewels: a crown, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and wears silk scarves and gold decorated colorful robes.

How do we pack the Thangka?
We wrap the Thangka in handmade Nepali Lokta paper for protection of painting and later packed inside the non-bendable PVC pipe for shipping.
We also offer Silk Brocade framing for above Thangka. For that, you need to request us and paid separately.
