Ratnasambhava Buddha statue is one of the Buddhas of the Five Families, each of which is linked to one of the four cardinal directions. This painting is definitely one of five that show each of these buddhas. Ratnasambhava stands for the family of jewels. His yellow color, the way he gives with his hand, and the way his horse vehicle peeks out from either end of his lotus throne are all ways to recognize him. This Buddha and his family of jewels are connected to wealth, and the bottom of the painting shows five different forms of the wealth deity Jambhala.
